Wir waren nun schon einige Male in Marciano und sind immer wieder von der herrlichen Lage inmitten von Wein- und Olivenhügeln, von dem malerischen Haus und besonders von der Gastfreundschaft begeistert. Der Blick aus dem Zimmerfenster zeigt den Turm des Doms, die Innenstadt ist nur einen guten Sparziergang entfernt. Und trotzdem ist man nicht in der Stadt sondern in der Natur. Das Haus strahlt Gemütlichkeit und Charakter aus jedem Stein, sehr sorgfältig und behutsam restauriert. Die Zimmer sind mit sehr viel Liebe und Geschmack stilsicher möbliert, sehr sauber insbesondere auch das Badezimmer. Wenn möglich sollte man auf jeden Fall versuchen auch das Abendessen zu buchen. Nadia kocht herrvorragend, und das Essen am großen Tisch in der Küche ist ein Erlebnis. Man fühlt sich einfach wohl hier, wie selbstverständlich wird man als Teil der Familie willkommen geheißen! Ich freue mich schon auf unseren nächsten Besuch!

J’ai été a Siennne avec ma famille dans le spendide agritourisme de Marciano, situé en pleine campagne, à juste 10 minutes des mûrs de la vieille ville. Nous avons trouvé les chambres très accueillantes, chaleureuses et propres. La vue des chambres donne sur la campagne et sur la ville indiqué par le sommet du Dôme de Sienne qu’on aperçoit au loin. Christian nous a accompagné pendant la visite du vignoble, nous avons fait le tour de la vigne des oliviers biologiques et aussi du grand cellier très bien équipé. Pendant le dîner composé de plats tipiques toscans préparés par Nadia, nous avons pu déguster les vins d’eccellente qualité produits par l’entreprise. Notre séjour à Marciano a été l’un des moments inoubliables de notre voyage en Toscane en ce qui concerne le rapport qualité/prix

Agriturismo Marciano was our best ever experience in Italy. We stayed here for 6 nights in the beginning of May. It's a perfect base to travel through Tuscany. The owner turned an hundreds-year-old house into a charming agriturismo, conserving the original materials. He lives in the same building. - Ambience: quiet, serene, peaceful and charming. We fell in love with the place at the moment we arrived. - Location: outside of Siena's wall (northwest of the old city). It is surrounded by beautiful vineyards and fields. More suitable for those who rent a car. Actually all the guests including us had rental cars. Strolling slowly, it took us about 50 minutes to Il Campo on foot. One half of the road from the house to the historic center is quiet country scene, and the other half residential-commercial one. - Rooms: spacious, bright and beautifully decorated. You can notice that every detail has been well cared. Every morning they clean the rooms spotlessly, and change towels. All rooms have a magnificent view of vineyard and field. The bathroom is clean and modern, and has no frills. It is compact, but we had no incovenience. The rooms have neither TV nor telephone, but who needs them in Tuscany? If you want, you can watch TV in the living room/reception area. - Breakfast: Freshly made coffee, tea, Tuscan bread, tostadas, marmalades, yogurt, fruit juice and cereals are served in their lovely kitchen. I wish I would have a kitchen like theirs some day. - Staffs: really kind and helpful. They all speak English. - Facilities for guests' use: . They offer the washing machine and the iron free of charge. You can hang out the wash on clotheslines behind the house. . There is a communal fridge for guests. We could also use their wine glasses, dishes and cutlery (all very stylish). . Free internet: There is a computer connected to internet in the living room/reception area. I'm not 100% sure that they offer their computer at guests' use, but they let me check my e-mail free of charge. Last but not least, you should try their DINNER. They offer guests dinner upon request at 38 EUR per person. We had dinner on our first night with other guests. The food and wines were glorious. They served their own wines, white, reds and vin santo, one of which was really good, and the food.. simple, honest and all prepared with fresh and supreme produce. You can buy their wines, too. We had dinner with them only once - we had a long list of restaurants to try -, but a couple who had dinner there three times told us that not once they served same dishes. In conclusion, we really enjoyed our stay, and would definitely stay here again.
